Resetting

Hello
In the player area I created a Reset option that now sits at the top of my page on the player! The course jumps back to slide one and I can retake the quiz.
However!
Sometime ago a few of you helped me in having a tick appear on my menu page when a section of the course had been completed. Now when I restart my course although everything seems to start from the begining the tick still shows as though a section of the course has already been done.
Help!

resetting will clear the variables and start the course as if you had not resumed
Although I need to know really is how do I completely reset a course from the beginning so it starts like it hasn't ever been done before, There must be a way of doing what the popup option does (resets course) when it asks to do want to start where you left off.
My learners need to take the same course every 12months but currently it will remember their last attempt.
Thanks Phil
How do I do this.
I dont know if you can, the only other thing you could do is on your reset button add triggers to reset the variables, I don't know of any built in function
I would have hoped the reset trigger would do this and I am a little surprised it does not
Actually Phil you're right the restart course button works fine but is there any way I can get the same result by the link I setup which appears on the top of the player window.
The best way I would do this is show a layer that you have set up on a slide master (this is not as easy as it sounds as you will need to manipulate a variable in javascript and set a trigger on the master slide to show layer when variable changes.
Steve flowers posted a great example but I cannot find it anymore.
Then on that layer add a popup that says "Do you want to reset the course?"
Yes (add reset course trigger here) No (hide layer)
Probably a better way of doing it and prevents those users who accidently press the tab.
Thank you Phil . . I will give it ago!
