Resetting a matching, graded question
Sep 17, 2019
Hi,
i have created a matching activity and have given learners two attempts if on the second attempt they get it wrong they are diverted back to the beginning of the learning content associated with the activity, however when they then get back to the activity it doesn't reset and i cant move any of the matches to undertake the activity again. is there a way of making sure the activity resets so they can do it again once they get back to that slide? none of my graded question slides rest if i send them back any ideas on how to sorted this would be muchly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Charlie
try changing the revisit slide properties to 'automatically decide' not 'reset to initial state'
Thank you Wendy :)
It does not seem t matter what i have it set to it wont let the user change their answers.
If i have it set to Reset initial state the submit button no longer works so you are held on the first question slide for good, if i have it set to automatically decide it lets me submit but not change answers, as i have a results slide it wont let me change number of attempts?
Thanks
Hi Charlie
can you share the quiz slide so someone can take a look and see what's happening.
So you want the user to be able to redo the quiz question but only when they've finished the quiz and clicked the Retry button, or you want them to have more than one attempt when they are trying it for the first time?
Hi Wendy,
Id like them to do 5 questions and then if they get to they end and they are incorrect start all 5 again.
Not sure if you can help, if they get them wrong i can divert them back to the beginning of the questions but they can not edit them.
Thanks
Hi Charlie
SL executes triggers in order so on your fail feedback layer of the result slide you need to re-order the triggers.
Currently you have the following...so you are jumping to the slide before you reset results so the reset triggers is never executing. Change the order so Reset is before Jump and it will work.
Thank you this appears to be working so far.. hopefully behaves once on the LMS
Thanks
Charlie
