Resetting Drag/Drop Choices to Initial State

I'm trying to create a question slide that is a Graded Word Bank question with unlimited attempts. When a wrong answer is dragged into the box it provides the feedback to "Try Again", like it should. When the button is clicked to make another choice the answer they just tried stays in the box even though I have the slide properties set to reset to its initial state when revisiting. It does allow the learner to make another selection until they answer correctly, however, it is confusing when the wrong answer(s) stay in the box. I want the wrong answer to return to its location and have the box be empty. Is that possible?
Tons of thanks in advance for any/all replies.

Hi Ron,
It is possible, but I am not a fan of the technique. What you have to do is to set a trigger on the "Try Again" button to go to slide x (x = to the same slide). This will reload the question and reset the drag items into their starting positions.
Excellent suggestion, Charles. Thanks. It does return the incorrect answer to its location like you mentioned so I'm one step closer. However, it doesn't clear that same answer from the box so that the 'drag to' box is empty. Thoughts on how to clear that so that the question slide truly goes back to its initial state?
Ron,
I am not exactly sure what you are telling me. Can you send some screen shots?
Screen shots explanations. #1: Original question. #2: Wrong answer with try again button. #3: After clicking the Try Again button the wrong answer remains in the box {highlighted- Don't want this.} while it also returns to its location in the list. #4: Chose new wrong answer. {Note the faded clue that "1" is incorrect. I like this!} #5: Just like #3 but with the new wrong answer. #6: Correct answer with continue button.
It's #3 and #5 that I want what is highlighted to be cleared after clicking the Try Again button.
How interesting. I don't have a solution for the word bank type question on this issue. Rather I would suggest you use the free-form question type to achieve the desired result. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
Hi Ron,
It's by design that they don't automatically recent - but as you've seen here there are a few methods around it and other community designed methods that you may find searching through the forums.

I created a demo video that shows how to use motion paths to rest a drag and drop interaction... hope this helps!
Clever!
