Resetting variables in quiz retake

Hi everyone,
I have created a quiz using question banks in Storyline 360 with many multiple response questions throughout. There are variables set on each multiple response question so that the user must select the right number of responses before being able to select submit. This all works beautifully the first time around, however if a user fails and hits the retry button, this functionality seems to disappear.
I've tried adjusting the 'when revisiting' slide properties to 'reset to initial state' but this didn't seem to make a difference. Is there an extra step with the variables that I'm missing here?
Many thanks
Gayle

Hey Gayle
yes - variables must be reset via a trigger and no unfortunately there isn’t a ‘hey storyline please reset all my variables’ trigger - it’s manual - sorry 😐
Thanks very much Wendy - I don't mind that it's manual (although that universal trigger does sound like it could be a great enhancement!) -more practice with variables is a good thing for me right now. I can't see a 'reset variable trigger' - Am I being too simplistic in my thinking?? I've attached the file - question one is a multiple response. any chance you could point me in the direction of the right trigger?
Hi Gayle
no there isn't a 'reset variable' sorry I should have been clearer.
You may want to do this on the Retry button rather than on all slides - that way you can see at a glance they have all been reset rather than having to go to individual slides - your call...but make sure of trigger order - preferably the first trigger as SL executes in order so if it is at the bottom, the jump to slide trigger will execute and the reset won't - hope that makes sense.
Thanks again Wendy - I'll give this a go! :)
