Resizing checkboxes, only Normal state changes size.
Mar 15, 2018
I tried resizing (widening) some checkboxes but, regardless of whether I'm doing one or several at a time, only the checkbox in the Normal state is changed.
Some states (Hover and Selected) have different Fill colours and transparencies but all of them were set after first resetting states. The Down and Disabled states are the same as Normal.
Has anyone noticed this before? This is the first time I've seen this happen so hopefully there's a setting somewhere that will fix this because I don't really want to adjust sizes of every state of every checkbox in a project...

Hi Jhuny! Thanks for reaching out. I'm trying to recreate this behavior, but I'm not having any luck.
Could you do a screen recording (or a Peek recording) of how you are resizing check boxes, and show me how that affects the states? Thanks!
Hi Alyssa,
Thanks for the response. I've attached a story file (it uses radio buttons but same thing happening) Hope that's helpful.
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing that slide with me, Jhuny!
I did see the problem you described, but I'm not sure how you originally resized those text boxes. It looks like you may have resized only the normal state.
Please have a look at this screen recording which explains how resizing those text boxes should work. Let me know if that helps you!
Hey Alyssa,
I ended up just rebuilding the questions since it didn't take that much longer. Your suggestion of resizing all at once doesn't really work for me as I eventually want to place the choices in a grid and not just in a vertical list (mainly to break up the formatting across the entire story so that it's not all the same) Also, resizing a single choice doesn't work either since only the normal state changes.
The only thing I can think of is that something is going on when a non-Normal state gets reset, but I would have assumed that, by resetting the state means that there is no custom size setting on the non-normal states so adjusting the size *should* apply across all states?
Anyway, I've worked around it but this seems like odd behaviour to me.
Thanks,
jhuny
