Any new word documents and zipped files I embed in the course don't show when loaded to the LMS - whether it's on the Resources Tab or just a hyperlink to a document in the course. They all have short names with hypens, without special characters, and under 260 characters.
It's only the local projects that are on my computer that don't show in the LMS (The PDF files I didn't create work fine). It also works when I publish it to google drive.
Where are the PDF files you're linking to that work located in comparison to your other Word documents? Have you tested your course at SCORM Cloud (an industry standard testing method for SCORM content) to see if the issue is specific to your LMS? I'd say that this would be a good next step since the links work when you test from Google drive.
I found out (through SCORM cloud), that it can't accept long files when zipped and those with a + in the name. So good knowledge for others who may have this problem!
