Someone who is testing one of my courses has complained that when he clicks on the Resources tab, the dropdown menu does not appear. Instead, two up and down scroll arrows appear beside the word "Resources" and he has to click down to see the menu items-- and they only appear in the tiny space where the word "Resources" used to be.
Hello Adrienne - I have seen this behavior reported when a user is viewing the HTML5 output in an unsupported browser. You can check out our full documentation here and I'm included supported HTML5 options below:
Windows: Google Chrome (latest version)
Mac: Safari 7 and later, Google Chrome (latest version)
Mobile: Safari in Apple iOS 7 and later, Google Chrome (latest version) in Android OS 4.1 and later
While this post is a few months old, I was hoping I might be able to get some help too. I recently starting experiencing some issues with published courses regarding resources as well. It seems that the resources are appearing when using Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Explorer as browsers but they are not working in Google Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. I tested on a PC and MacBook Air. Any tips or ideas?
Thanks for responding. I appreciate your help! We are using Storyline 3. We publish to LMS with the Format set to Flash with HTML5 fallback. The zipped output is housed by our LMS provider, so I'm not sure of the details on that. After researching further, we've learned that this is now happening in all courses published, not just the most recent one so we are unsure of the cause. Our LMS provider has said that this is affecting all player tabs and not just Resources.
Thanks for those details, Jenna. It's worth testing the file in another LMS environment, for comparison's sake. SCORM Cloud is a good option--it's industry standard, and it's free!

Hello! Just wondering what the LMS provider's fix was? Experiencing this problem on only one platform. I realize that it is probably a compatibility issue as I have tested it on other platforms and it works fine. Hoping there is a workaround to get it operational on the platform that is providing the trouble.
