Response to Locking Responses on Questions and a new question

Apr 24, 2020

Thanks Ren Gomez for your response.  I have found a new slide template to use solving the problem locking responses on questions.  I have another question.  From the Content Library of storyline 360, Visions template, "pick many" slide, how do the letters on the circles go back to their original color state when the learner selects the wrong answer and is prompted to "Try Again"?  I changed the color of the letter circles to match my Journal template theme but when wrong selections are made and submitted, they do not return to their original color state.  What happens is selected circles remain in their selected state.  I hope this makes sense.  I tried to answer your email but was having difficulties.

Hi Jerome,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you're experiencing with the Freeform Pick Many Vision template in the Content Library.

This is expected behavior in the freeform pick many as the answer choices will not reset when the learner tries again. The learner will have to deselect the choices they first picked, and then reselect to answer again.

Here's one suggestion ☞ In the Try Again slide layer, you can change the Hide layer trigger to Jump to this slide, but that will give the learner an infinite amount of tries until they get it right as the slide will reset each time. I hope this helps clarify what you're seeing!

Thank you so much. After much experimentation, I came to the same conclusion and have implemented the change. Thanks so much. I will save this info for future projects.
