Restart Course: Reset Restricted Menu

Is it possible to reset the status of a restricted menu? in Storyline 360? I have a requirement for a course where the course should have:
- Storyline menu with "restricted" checked
- If the learner fails the assessment twice, they want the learner to "restart" and have to go through the entire course content, and a reset restricted menu, before taking the assessment again.
I know I could build a custom menu with variables, but I'm going to be handed the course from a vendor who is building the course using the standard Storyline menu with the "Restricted" option checked.
Thx! Todd

Hi Todd,
The menu settings in Storyline for Restricted/Free/Locked are persistent throughout the entire course.
If you're looking to have the whole course reset after a certain number of attempts/failed status you may want to see what options your Learning Management System (LMS) offers. Often, there is a feature to "lock" a course once a user has reached a certain number of attempts and then the LMS admin can reauthorize a new attempt and reset the course.
Hope that info helps, and if you're able to share what LMS you're using others in the community may have an insight into how to set that up in the LMS!
I am having the same problem, If the learner fails the assessment twice, I want the learner to "restart" and have to go through the entire course content, and a reset restricted menu, before taking the assessment again. Do you know of any walkthroughs or video on this? I am trying to create a trigger on the results failure slide.
Hi Nicholett!
Try adding a button to the result slide with a "restart course" trigger. This trigger will bring the learner back to the first slide and reset the restricted menu.
Give it a try, and let me know how it goes!
The "restart course" trigger does not work. I tested it in storyline preview as well as with an html publish.
