You can check for your Storyline version by:
Opening Storyline, click Help, click About Articulate Storyline
It should look like this and show your version:
This is what I wanted you to confirm, and if you do not have the latest update (as shown above), you can click the second link provided. The link will look like the standard free trial dialogue, but this is correct and your serial number from your product should pull when you enter that information.

I have viewed the article you mentioned, and there is no reference to resetting timing of Quizzes.
Also, when I click the link you sent to the latest version, I get a screen offering a free trial.
If you can send me a link for the upgrade that would be great
