Restrict Menu but unlock course

Hi all, hoping someone can help me with this. I have been working with a client that has the following requirement.
They want the menu in the course to be 'restricted' which I have done using T/F variable and timeline triggers on the slide master - works a treat BUT, they want the leaner to be able to click NEXT, NEXT, NEXT in the course.
I can't seem to convince them that they may as well 'free' the menu, but that's not what they want.
Can someone help me with a trigger I could use that keeps the restriction on the menu, but unlocks the course navigation.
Thank you
Wendy

Ok - an update. I have been able to change the trigger so that it jumps to the NEXT slide when user clicks the next button where my variable is equal to true - works for every slide EXCEPT where I have a slide with layers that popup and have a CLOSE button.
Found the problem - there were two slide masters being used in the project and I had only applied my triggers to one of them..problem solved.
Hi Wendy,
Thanks for coming back to update the thread - and I'm happy to hear it was solved!
