Restricted Viewing

Jul 16, 2013

Is there a way to have viewing restricted if a learner takes a course again in the same session.  ie failing an assessment and having the next button restart the course.  As of now it registers that the slides were viewed so it gives free viewing

Anthony-

Thank you, I have the restricted setting on.  The way the client wants it is to have the learner take a final assessment twice.  If they fail both times, the course loops back to the beginning until they pass.  The client would like the course to be restricted on the 2nd or 3rd pass through but since the learner never leaves it accepts that all the slides were viewed allows them to jump around.  I'm looking to see if I can reset the "viewed"slides trigger.

Hi Rich,

Sorry you didn't get the response you were after :-(

I don't think you can reset the 'viewed' slides trigger, but I'd love to hear if anyone else knows otherwise - when adding a trigger there is an option under the 'actions' drop-down to restart the course but I think this merely jumps back to the first slide?

Good luck,

Antony

Hi Rich,

You'll find another thread here dealing with a similar issue, specifically Jesse's answer. As Antony described also above, "restart" should restart the whole course, and you can sent that as a trigger at the end if the user does not pass the first assessment.

Please let us know if you need anything else!
