Results question

Jul 18, 2016

Hi eLearning hero community,

I have create a quiz in the form of rounds, you have to get two questions right to go to the next round.

There are two rounds to each scene.

For each round, if you get a question wrong you lose a life but if lives is not equal to zero you get the chance to answer an additional question.

This all works really well so far.

What I am attempting to do is gather the results from each scene so I can add each scenes results together at the end.

My problem is the results and percentage are not reflecting the fact that the user is being given another chance as it is counting all three.  I understand why this is happening as I am selecting them but am unable to figure a way around it.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks

Wendy

PS. I know I can do this with a custom score and JavaScript but this solution is not compatible with Articulate mobiles.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I am hoping this will not come out twice as I had replied to you but I am unable to see it. I have copied over one scene of the project so some of the navigation will not work. To test it out you need to get one question wrong in each round and get the others right.  I need the pass mark to be 100% as I have given them another chance.

Hi Wendy!

Thanks for sharing a visual for what you are doing.

You are correct, the standard result slide is going to 'count' all of the questions you have chosen and if not answered, will be counted as incorrect.

You may want to consider displaying the variable reference like you have on the other slides to simply share the information with the user.

You could then track via a specific slide as shared here and let the course simply control the navigation.

Perhaps some others in the community would be able to assist with your design as I know you mentioned you did not want to utilize JavaScript, which is not something I would be able to assist with either.
