Results Slide and Must Answer Question

Oct 14, 2014

I have read the posts about this and have read the tutorials Submitting Answers All at Once and Confirming That Users Are Ready to Submit Their Answers. I need to have the answers all submit at once to the LMS in the hopes it will be more efficient that going back and forth for each question.

Why does the system give the message on the results slide as there is no question there? I put in the slide as outlined in the Confirming tutorial, but still have the message. Is there something else I need to do to the Results slide? The tutorials don't mention what happens if the person fails. I want them to take the course again.

I am sure that once I see the answer I will realize it is obvious, but I don't see it right now. This is the course I am testing.

Hi Jeffrey,

If you look at the last trigger on your results slide there is a trigger to "submit interaction" and that is looking for a question. I'm not sure why you would have included that trigger - but if you remove it and then enabled the "next" button on that slide - the user should be able to continue as normal. I see the score and am able to use the 'try again' button as well.

I find it interesting that Leslie ran the file without getting the message but I have it every time. I have cleared the cache thinking that might be it but I had the same result.

I then deleted the submit interaction trigger and published for LMS then ran this in SCORM CLoud. SCORM Cloud reports the course is not finished and I did not pass which is not good.

I hope the Replay file I made of the SCORM version helps. The course needs to report to our LMS and show completed as well as report the score.

Other ideas?

I just tried this again but deleted the Submit button and created a trigger on the Success layer to submit results. That worked and I did not receive a message. I also had a positive result on SCORM Cloud lms. I also tested this on our LMS and it worked.

I am not sure if this is the answer for everyone but having a trigger on the Results slide worked rather than having the Submit button.

I tested this on our LMS with a real course, one of our employees, andit works well. The people were able to complete the course and it recorded the date and score as I had hoped/expected.

My next step is to create a template with the quiz already setup. That is, I have already taken the submit button off the individual questions and the results slide. The result slide now has a button with a trigger that submits the information to the LMS and it does not have any messages about answering a question. The end result should be a faster method for doing quizzes this way rather than using a standard quiz and modifying each slide.
