Results Slide Audio plays over top itself
Sep 19, 2012
I was trying to create a free form quiz slide with a custom results slide attached to it. In my results slide, I used the blank template and then created my own correct and incorrect layer. Each layer contains a different audio file. The results slide is set to allow for retrying the quiz.
I've found that if I answer my question correctly the first time, and then click retry and answer it incorrectly the second time, the audio on my incorrect layer will start playing twice, one over the top of the other.
I've attached an example project demonstrating this.

I can't get the project to replicate your issue. It never overlaps even if I answer correctly, retry, and answer incorrectly.
I've created a jing video demonstrating what is happening on my computer. You may need to turn the volume up a bit, I have a crappy microphone.
Yeah, it's definitely not doing that for me.
Hi Shelby,
Have you found a solution to this problem, yet? I have a course that has the same problem, although mine plays an overlaying audio from the start. I'm trying to see if I can isolate and eradicate the problem, but so far, I'm not able to track down the root cause. This is a course I originally converted from Articulate Engage. When I am in the slide, there is no indicate that a problem exists, but when I preview or publish, the second audio track starts playing in the background.

Mine was specific to a results page. They directed me to the following article: http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=st1&id=91g18ax57fyn
Interesting! Turns out I had inadvertently pasted an audio track into my master slide when I did a select all' to copy the background graphics from a different slide. If you can't track down the source of something, check your master slide!
Thanks for posting the update, Laura. That's a great thing to keep in mind.
