Resultslide_result accumulates everytime someone clicks "review results"

Feb 13, 2017

Hello

I created a fancy resultslide based on some examples I got from here, but everytime someone clicks on the "review results" button, it adds points to the resultslide. This should not happen, as they only review the quizz and don't retake it.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Thank you!

Hi Titia!

Thank you for sharing your file with me! Just curious, was this the example you followed to design your results slide?

How to Design Visual Feedback Meters

After taking a peek into your file, I noticed that you had some variables that you actually don't need for this Results Slide. Are you using the usrPass and userScore variables elsewhere in the course?

The first thing you can do is delete the "Add" triggers from the trigger panel on 1.4 Results Slide. Those triggers were causing the scores to add points each time the learner reviewed the quiz questions. The trigger panel on slide 1.4 should look like this:

Your Success layer looked great, so no changes are needed there.

On the Failure layer, you'll want to make an adjustment to each of the "Change state of" triggers. Instead of changing the state of the meter when the variable changes, try changing the state of the meter when the timeline starts if Results.ScorePercent is between a given range.

Here's a published version of your updated file, and the updated original is attached. Have a look, and let me know what you think!
