Resume a previously completed course

I have a course that is having some issues when resuming after it has been market compelted. Here's what happens:
1. Course is partially completed by the learner however if the learner doesn't finish the course, they are able to exit and resume at the exact position where they left off.
2. Course is fully completed by the learner and is marked off in the LMS as completed. When the user goes back to the coruse and clicks to resume it, they course takes them back to the middle of the topics and doesn't remember the last screen they were in.
This only happens when the course is marked as complete. When the user is actually partially complete, the resume feature works perfectly.
We are using Success Factors as the LMS however, this has also happened when testing in saba.
Has anyone ever expereinced anythign like this? I'm at a loss as to why it is doing this.

You mentioned it goes back to the middle of the course - but at what point does the user meet the completion requirement? It sounds similar to the issue described here, although since you mentioned it's the middle I suspect that's not where you are reaching the completion. You may also want to look at testing in SCORM Cloud which is the industry standard for testing SCORM output.

Hi I have been able to trouble shoot further but now there is just once scene that when I resume, it just doesn't save the state. Any suggestions as to why? The screen has a series of check boxes that the learner will tick but every time I resume the course, it will go back to that scene but not remember that the check boxes have been selected.

Did you check the slide properties? You'll want to ensure you're using a slide property setting of "resume saved state" and you can change it as detailed here.

Yes I have check it. It is set to resume for the side and its layer. Both are on resume saved state. It's only when I exit the course and come back that it resets the slide.

Hi Mark,
If you exit the course on a particular slide, that slides state is not yet saved - it's only saved when the user leaves the slide. But all prior slides should be resuming to the saved state.
If you're seeing something different, we'll want to take a look at the .story file and you can post it here in the forums using the "add attachment" button. Feel free to include just that scene where the problematic slides are.
