Resume an articulate & be able to amend slide responses without losing previous answers

Feb 20, 2020

Hi, I'm trying to use articulate as a Training Needs Analysis document on our LMS - so all the responses on each slide are correct but people only tick them when they are happy they can do that part of their job.

When I have tested it, and submitted the articulate with only some things ticked (meaning I am only 50% complete for example) and want to go back in and tick some more things, I have said I wanted to start where I left off but it takes me to the result slide and when I go back up to the other slides I can't edit them. I don't want to start again from the beginning as I would have to re-tick the bits I have already done. I want it to act like a working document so colleagues can see the progress they are making through training for their role.

Is this something that can be done or any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Helen

Hi Helen,

This user guide covers the options for resuming a course in Storyline. Two good choices would be to set the course to Prompt to resume or Always resume.

From there, you'll want to revisit how you set up your "checklist" in a Storyline file. It sounds like you may have created a quiz with multiple slides, which may give you some trouble in trying to edit upon return.

Take a look at some of the examples in this E-Learning Heroes Challenge that covers checklists and see if it works for you! Hopefully others in the community can chime in with their ideas.
