Hello, I'm having an issue with a course not returning to the page it exited from after a short assessment. Everywhere else it works fine. Basically, the user answers 5 questions and then the Results screen appears. If I exit and then return while on the Results screen, it prompts to resume where I had left off but it actually takes me to the fifth/last question in the assessment and I have to answer the question to proceed.

I just tested the course again and after passing the assessment, closing the browser window, and then returning, it takes to the third question rather than the results page, where I had left off. Is this a Suspend data issue based on the log?
Hi Steve, I believe this is what is happening. I checked the log you provided and whilst the suspend_data is not quite over the 4,096 character limit (it's at 3,910), there is a good chance that Storyline has recognised this limit, and truncated the suspend_data at a location to prevent the tracking being broken.
There are some things you can do, it can be a compromise depending on the slide type, but where it is not essential that data is persisted, you can change your slide property to "Reset to initial state" instead of Resume, or Automatically decide. This frees up heaps of data.
Hi Steve, there's no harm in exploring SCORM 2004 if it is available to you, especially for Storyline courses, as the suspend_data can be pretty verbose once you start wanting the states of slides to be remembered.

Thank you! I tested after changing the slide property to Reset to Initial state and it seems to work.
Now with a much larger course than this one, will this same solution work? Or should I explore publishing as Scorm 2004?
