Resume Saved State not working with audio in timeline. SL3

Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I've come across an issue with SL3 surrounding "Resume Saved State" and audio in the timeline. It would appear that the audio is about 2 seconds behind when the slide resumes. Basically I'm returning to a "Main Menu" and using variables to control the flow of information. The user can't progress to chapter 2 until they have seen chapter one. The variables work just fine, once you have viewed chapter one, the user returns to the main menu slide where they can select chapter two. however, once they return the final 2 seconds of the audio will play. All the visual elements are fine, but the audio lags. Extra notes:
- Only happens with SL3 - SL2 is fine
- Happens across all SL3 projects, this is the third or fourth different template I've noticed this with.
- It can be "fixed" by dragging the time line out by 2 seconds - but then the learner has to listen to 2 seconds of dead air before they can start the chapter.
- To see this in action play the attached project (only two slides), let the main menu slide play until the end of the timeline, then watch the second slide, click next to return to the main menu slide.
- Of course I'm working locally, and I've uninstalled and reinstalled SL3.

Hi George,
Thanks for sharing your file! I gave it a test, and I didn't notice that the audio on slide 1.1 replayed the last 2 seconds when the slide was resumed. You can view a recording of my testing here.
Are you on the latest update of Storyline 3? To check, click the Help tab, then click About Storyline. You should see 3.2.13213.0 in the bottom-right corner.
You have to let the slides finish naturally, I noticed you used the "Prev" button in your example. I've never tested it that way. Let the slides finish and use the next button and you'll see what I mean. See my video. Also, I am using the latest version of SL3.
Watch my fix (pulling the timeline out by 2 seconds). Which is not really idea.
Hi George,
Thanks for clarifying that. I did a re-test of your file by letting the slides play fully, and using the Next button on slide 2.1. Here's a recording of my test.
It looks like we're seeing different things, even though we are both on the same update of Storyline 3. I'd like to have our Support Engineers weigh in on what could be causing the issue on your end, so I've opened a case on your behalf. Keep an eye out for an email from our team!
SL team:
Hello all, Victor from SL customer support got in touch with me yesterday. I've followed his instructions and cleared all the cached copies of my courses from %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline. I'm still experiencing issues. On a whim I opened a SL2 project that had similar features (main menu slide) and converted it from SL2 to SL3. In SL2 it worked just fine, in SL3 the issue appears. I've include both files along with a video of my SL3 test.
Just a note, I'll try this on my other PC with both SL2 and SL3 installed, possibly it's my PC? I will conduct testing later on tonight and let you know.
Thanks for keeping us informed George :)
Folks just an FYI this is still an issue. I am experiencing it with a few courses right now. I've created a variable/trigger based work around to control the media but it's less than ideal. I can product another example but it is all exactly the same as the above examples that I have posted.
Hey George,
I took a look at your case and it looks like Victor was unable to replicate.
That certainly makes it hard to pinpoint an issue. I shared your most recent comment in your support case with Victor. I'd advise continuing to work with him there.
