Resuming and Decimals

Hey everybody,

So I've developed a beautifully functioning, intense course that is very numbers driven for an engineering application. There are a series of slides accessed through having a correct answer on a different slide; and many of the answers have decimals.

So here is the quirk: If you leave and then resume the course, the course remembers the answers, but it only remembers the whole numbers, not the decimals. On slides affected by whole number answer, it isn't a problem. On slides affected by a decimal answer, the decimals need to be re-entered to catch up where the user left off.

Has anybody else encountered this function, and is there a work around?

Hi Pierre,

Are you using Storyline 2? I see that this was something we reported to our QA team, but only from one customer earlier, so it's been fairly low impact. I'll include your post here in the report that we've got filed, and I also wanted to share a bit more information on how we handle bugs. 

First, we define a bug as a software feature that’s not working as we intended it to. When you report a bug, here’s how we tackle it.

  1. Our team will assess how the feature’s current behavior differs from the behavior we intended. Sometimes there’s an error with our product documentation or user behavior rather than a bug. We want to eliminate that possibility first.
  2. If we confirm that there's a software bug, we work as a team to prioritize the problem. We’ll look at how many customers the bug affects and how seriously those customers are impacted.
  3. We’ll also talk about how difficult the bug is to fix and if fixing it might cause other problems with the software.
  4. Once we’ve prioritized the bug, it goes into our development team’s work queue in order of priority. Of course, bugs that affect larger numbers of people or have a significant impact on users will always be tackled first.
