Resuming error in when restorarting a course

Nov 17, 2016

I'm having a strange bug/problem,

I have a course with several quizzes, here's the setup

  • Published on a LMS
  • I've set "always prompt to resume" with the "when running in LMS" unchecked

When I go through a couple of slides and close the course, when I reopen the course, it's all good, I go back to my last slide visited.

BUT - when I go through some more slides, after let say 50 slides, when I close and reopen the course, the Course always goes back to a certain slides. (slide 45). Even if I was past that slide...

I did a lot of different test to see if it could be the programing within the course... but even after I've tested a very simplified version of it... I still have the same problem... I started wandering if the cache was only able to 'remember' until a certain amount of slide, and after let say 45 slides. I can only bring you back to this one....

Please help me because I'm going out of ideas to fix that!

Thanks!!!

Hi Jonathan,

This could have to do with exceeding SCORM suspend data limits. The suspend_data element for an Articulate Storyline SCORM course tells the learning management system (LMS) where you leave off when you exit the course and lets you resume the course later in the same place without having to start over. You can learn more about how suspend data and resume behavior work here.
