Retaking test- not able to if users click other pages first

Mar 23, 2014

Hello,

My course is set up to allow re-takes, if a user does not pass the quiz. From the pass/fail score screen, users can click the Retry button and re-take the quiz. course. This button works fine.

However, if the user does not click Retry,  and instead uses the menu to review course content and then access the course again, they are not able. Instead the question screens will be locked, and users can only review their previous answers.

Is there any way to fix this issue so that users who do not select Retry, but use the menu navigation to go back to the course are able to retake the quiz.

Thank you.

Carol

Hi Carol and welcome to Heroes!

If you set your individual slides with a "reset to initial state" on the slide's revisiting properties this would allow users to take the course again, although depending on if you have a review enabled as well I'd have to advise against it, as the user could change their score. I'd recommend that you let the users know that the way to change a quizzes answer is by going through the retry process and they'll need to redo the whole test.  There is also a method here to retry only the incorrect answers which may help you.
