Retry button issue

Hi there, we have created an assessment module in Storyline 360 with a branching scenario. The assessment does not provide pass/fail on each slide until the very end when they hit the results slide.

Students need to score 100%. They have two retry attempts. We have set up the triggers to ensure they only have to redo the incorrect slides.

Upon testing the module, we find that the retry button works and takes me to my first incorrect slide, but I get to a point in the sequence where it falls in a loop and toggles between two slides. It creates a previous/next button which we dont have in the first place. One of the two slides that we have has the submit button and the other one has previous/next. No matter how many times we click on the buttons, they continue to toggle.

If I close the quiz the LMS offers me to resume from where I left. It takes me to a slide in the quiz that was originally submitted correctly. Not sure where we have gone wrong in setting up the triggers. Can anyone help?
