Retry Quiz Help

Jun 07, 2017

Hey y'all.

I'm creating a course (SL 360) with a final exam (per usual) and the learner has to pass with 80% or higher in order to continue and finish the course. The learner is able to retry the quiz an unlimited amount of times and I am looking for a solution to one of two issues:

1. I would like them to not have to retake the entire quiz if they don't pass. So is there a way to only require that go back in retry the questions that they answered incorrectly?

OR

2. If the above is not possible without extreme complication, is there a way to allow them to review the quiz prior to retaking without the review showing the correct answer on those they got incorrect?

Worse comes to worse, I will accept making the learning retake the entire quiz. It is only 20 questions but would much prefer a solution to one of the two questions above.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

Hi Brett,

Such a great question - and one we've seen for awhile! This discussion is much older, but Jeanette's example in there still works for you to have users retry only the incorrectly answered questions.

Defining "extreme complication" is a bit trickier... 😉  but, it did make me think this is something perfect for a new feature! So I'm going to send that along to our team. You can always submit your own Feature requests here. If you’re wondering what happens when you submit a feature request, here’s our process.

So if you don't want to go the variable route describe above - you can allow the users to Review their answers and just disable the option to "Show correct/incorrect responses when reviewing"  That would allow users to see how the answered, and if they were correct or not - but not reveal the correct answer.

Hope that helps, and pleas let me know if you need anything else!
