I am stumped. I have a slide that has 6 layers. Each layer has a trigger/button that jumps to a scene (demo). In the last slide of the scene there is a button that takes the learner back to the slide with the layers. I want the learner to return to the base layer of the slide when they have finished viewing the scene not back to the layer that the scene is triggered from. I hope that makes sense!
The hide layer is before the jump to slide trigger on the slide layer. It will not allow me to change the trigger order. Do I need to set the "revisits" setting on each slide layer as well (to reset to initial state)?
Selecting reset to initial state did fix it. However, on the base layer I wanted the pictures/buttons to show the Selected or Visited state when viewing the slide layers and if I use "reset to initial state" those buttons will not show visited or selected. Any ideas?
To get the behavior you want, you may have to set a true/false variable (initially set to False) to True when the learner clicks a button, and then use a "when timeline starts" layer trigger to manually change the button's state back to Visited when the associated variable is equal to True.

Hi Stephanie
do you have a hide layer trigger? That could be why you are returning to the open layer.
I do have a hide layer trigger (in an arrow icon) on the slide layer. Maybe I need another hide layer on the base layer as well?
Is the hide layer trigger before the 'jump to slide' trigger - trigger order is important otherwise some triggers may not execute.
You also might try setting the slide with the 6 layers to "Reset to Initial State" when revisiting if you haven't already.
Cheers!

Thanks, I will start trying the variables to see if I can get that state change to work. Thanks again!
