Reverting drag options back when there is no reset button

May 08, 2019

Hi, apologies is this has already been asked but I've searched the discussions and can't find this exact issue.

I have a drag-anddrop exercise that involves dragging 8 objects onto 8 separate targets (one target per object). I have set it so that if an object is dropped on an incorrect target, the 'incorrect' layer appears. However, the object does not 'snap back' to its original place. I would like to know how to do this.

The only answers I've seen so far are about how to reset ALL of the objects back to their original position, but I don't want to do this: if some objects have already been placed correctly, I want them to remain in place, while just the erroneously placed object snaps back. Is this possible?

Unfortunately, I don't believe there's a way to snap a single drag item back to its original location when incorrect.

The two global settings (as you may know) are "snap items back to original position when dropped outside a correct drop target" or "snap items back to their original position when dropped outside any drop target."

The other option is setting the slide's properties to, "reset to initial state" and add a trigger to a button to jump to slide (itself). Essentially behaves as if you left and came right back - reset.

Have you tried the Drop correct and Drop incorrect states? Not the same but gives you more creative control by adding additional visual cues.
