Review correct/incorrect responses immediately

Sep 03, 2014

Hi guys,

The behavior I'm looking to implement in my quiz is the following:

User makes choice-->Hits submit-->Correct/Incorrect feedback bubble-->Green checkmarks for right and red x's for incorrect responses. I don't want the user to have to answer all questions and get to the results slide before they can review.

Is this possible? Can you assist?

Hi Grapas

You can add almost anything you want to the Correct / Incorrect feedback layers, so it should be easy for you to add the checks and crosses to the layers to show the information you want - just be aware you will have to remove the answer shuffle from the question so the checks and crosses don't appear next to the wrong answers.

Thanks Helen,

The challenge is there are 53 questions, so I don't want to go in and edit each one. There must be a simpler solution. At this point the assessment is in a review state,  so I don't care if it is elegant--I just want my reviewers to have a similar experience to the test taker...but receive immediate and accurate correct/incorrect responses.

Hi Grapas,

You could customize the review layer as described here - it's typically hidden until you review it, and make a trigger to show the review layer when the user submits the question instead of the correct/incorrect feedback layers. Otherwise, you'll need to edit each question as Helen mentioned and add those elements to the correct/incorrect layers.

I'm not certain that is more efficient. It still requires going in and modifying each question to show a review layer and adding a trigger? This is disappointing. I hadn't anticipated this being a particularly difficult task.

What about allowing users to bail out and hit the results slide to review any time they want to and then return to the quiz later? IS that possible?

Hi Grapas,

Typically the results slide is where the results are submitted to your LMS as well and therefore could cause an issue with allowing the user to retry the quiz - and it'll look like they didn't finish them or got an incomplete score by visiting the results slide before finishing all the quiz questions. If you wanted to set that up though, you'd still need to add something to each slide such as a button to take the users to the results slide.

I'm sorry that these methods don't fit with what you need, and I hope someone in the community is able to offer another option
