Review Quiz not advancing to next Scene
Jan 23, 2015
Hi There,
I'm working in SL2 and have a project with several scenes, with most scenes having a quiz question they must complete. When I then click Review Quiz, it wont advance past the first scene.
I tried adding in the 'Next' and allocating it to the next quiz question in the next scene, then removing it, then pasting back in as I saw on another post but this just takes me to the next slide in order. The trigger still says it should be going to the next quiz slide in the next scene.
Any advice would be great as I have spent way too long trying to resolve this issue.
Thank you in advance,
Merridee

Hi Merridee
I have tried in both SL1 and SL2 using the info in this link
https://community.articulate.com/discussions/building-better-courses/quiz-results-review-over-multiple-scenes
and I can't get it to work...but I did find this screencast that may help - haven't had time to test it

Hi Merridee
it works using the information in Beccy's screencast
Here is a crude sample
The first workaround was missing the variable
Thanks Wendy for your help, I have tried it following the steps and whilst I can get the slide to advance, it is just going to 'next' instead of the next question. Here's a sample of my scenes and quiz questions.
Maybe you can see where I've gone wrong?

If I'm reading correctly, and want to review ONLY quiz slides, I'd recommend the following:
-Add a blank slide after each quiz question, but branch around it using the feedback layers on each quiz (essentially hiding it from view.)
-Add a trigger to each slide whereby the slide jumps to the next question slide when timeline starts.
-The next button will now link to the blank slide and auto-jump to the next quiz question.
Hi Meridee
not sure if your project file is corrupt but it shut down SL as soon as I tried to open it.
I created a new project file and imported your files in, followed the screenr but no luck.
I then checked your slide masters and every layout has a 'Submit interaction' trigger on it - which could be confusing things. I removed the triggers from the slide master layouts and tried to save the project but it has shutdown SL again. I'll keep trying and see how I go.
Thank you Wendy and Andy for all of your help.
I still haven't been able to get either option to work so I am giving up and just removing the review and retry options. It is very frustrating to have to do this but I can't spend any more time trying to find a solution.
If you come up with any other options please do let me know so I can try them in future projects.
Thanks again :-)
Hi all,
This behavior changed a bit from SL1 to SL2 - and Super Hero Rebecca shared an updated method here.
