Review Quiz Without a "Quiz"

Apr 23, 2016

I am an instructional designer who designs many quizes without inserting Quiz slides.  I am accomplishing this with having the user select a box or circle and "selecting" it by changing its state.  I am then using variables to determine how many "correct" answers the user has and coming up with a total for the quiz.

My question has to do with the Review Quiz functionality that is available with inserting Quiz slides.  Is there a way to replicate this without actually inserting Quiz slides?

I do this all the time. I mentally break my story into sections that each correspond to an objective. I create a variable I call "method" and set it to "learn" . All the triggers to advance go to the next slide if method = learn. When it comes time to reflect, I ask the user a question tied to a specific objective, and give them the opportunity to review. If they review, I set method to review, and jump to the slide that begins the chosen review section. On the slide ending the review section, the trigger jumps to next slide if method is learn, and back to the reflection slide if method is review.
