Revisiting quiz slide works in preview scene but not in preview entire project - why?

Hi all,
I have a multiple choice quiz that takes the user back to the first slide to do the quiz again if they don't get a high enough score. This is scene 2 of 2, linked from the first scene. The settings are to reset to initial state when revisiting the first slide. This works when you preview the scene and you can redo the quiz and select new answers, and you can't click submit until an answer has been selected. However, if you preview the entire project then when revisiting the first question slide (still part of scene 2) the answers aren't selectable and the next button appears (instead of submit) so you can just keep going to the next question. This also happens when you publish the file. I tried including the quiz questions as part of the first scene (so there is only one scene in total), but still the same thing happens.
I don't understand why it would work during preview scene but be different when previewing the entire project. Can anyone help?

Its difficult to say why this is happening, it will be really helpful if you can provide your story file or screenshots for reference.

Are you resetting the results of the quiz? This is a function of the results slide as detailed here, but you could also use the same type of trigger to reset the slide.
When learners review a quiz (or revisit question slides they've already submitted), they'll see Articulate Storyline's built-in Prev and Next buttons in the lower right corner of the player—even if you've disabled them throughout your course. These navigation buttons are necessary for learners to review quiz slides.
If you'd like to have an option to disable the Prev and Next buttons during quiz review so you can use your own custom navigation buttons, please let us know. We value your feedback.

Thank you both for replying so quickly.
I added a trigger to reset the results of quiz like you suggested Ashley and it still didn't solve the problem on its own. However, as I am new to Storyline then I may forget or not realise some of the simple things and I then realised my triggers weren't in the correct order for what I needed things to happen. I tried a few different combinations and reordering the triggers as they were still didn't solve the problem but it did when combined with adding the 'reset results' trigger. It now resets the results and takes you back to the first quiz slide to go through the questions again, and it doesn't have the previous or next buttons on the player either so it all works fine.
Thanks for the help, although I still don't understand why it would work when previewing the scene but not when previewing the entire project, but as I have a working solution then I won't let it worry me.

Without seeing the file I can't say for certain - but trigger order is very important and you can read more about how they'll be executed as described here. If you've got it working and are using the built in reset results trigger than I'm happy to hear it. :)
