Revisiting slides with motion paths - Resume as left off?

Dec 02, 2019

Hey there,

I'm currently working with motion paths to imitate a long scrolling design as known in webdesign.

Each of my slides is a small chapter in itself. Besides the titel I have one major text box on each slide that stretches far below the actual size of the slide. Using motion paths triggered by a down-button and an up-button I move the text box up and down. After the entrance animation of my title completes, I pause the timeline.

When the user reaches the very bottom of the textbox und clicks the down-button again, I resume the timeline for any exit animations to play and jump to the next slide. Following the same concept, when the user is going "upwards" and reaches the top of the textbox, I trigger the timeline to resume for any exit animations to play and when the timeline ends I jump to the previous slide. I do that by working with a counting variable.

This flow is working fine except for one thing:

When I jump to the previous slide, the textbox on that slide is at the top. I need to be at the bottom though, just as the user left off.  In the slide (layer) properties I did set it to "When revisiting: Resume saved state", but that doesn't seem to to anything concerning motion paths.

Am I doing something wrong here? Any advice would be highly appriciated.

Thanks!
