Right Click not working in IE10
Jun 01, 2014
Hello all
Am creating software simulations for a large commercial project and in final testing have just discovered that the right click trigger is not working in Internet Explorer 10. Has anyone else stumbled upon this, does anyone have a work-around/solution?
The right click trigger works as prescribed in Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer 8, but not in 10. Me thinks it could be a HTML5 issue but I am purely speculating.
Anyone?

I had this issue recently on a project of mine. Are you viewing the published version on your local computer? Try uploading it to the internet and view it there. My right-click problem disappeared when uploaded to Dropbox and tested from there.
Thanks for your reply Meryem,
The published version is on an company LMS (staging server), so it should work. The problem only occurs with IE 10 (I don't know about 9), that seems to be the stumbling block.

Michael
Hi Michael,
You mentioned you thought it was an HTML5 issue - are you pointing the users to story.html or story_html5.html as the course link? You'll want to use the story.html link as HTML5 support is limited in Internet explorer as detailed here at the bottom of this chart.
I did help a user recently who said he experienced the same behavior in the "current version of IE" which at the time would have likely been IE11 - but I didn't hear back from him after my last post.
Have you tested it outside your LMS as well? Either on a web server (few options in this article) or at SCORM Cloud which is an industry standard for testing SCORM Content.
