ristrict moving until voice finished

Mar 13, 2014

Hi,

In  quiz slide in storyline, I have added a voice that says the feed back. I realized that user can hit the ‘continue’ button of the feed back before narrator has finished speaking.  Can we restrict ability to move on until after voice has finished speaking?

please advise

Hi Rana

There are different ways to achieve this depending on what's happening on the slide/layer etc.

Have attached a demo which allows the learner to click NEXT only when the "... this block appears" object appears (as this appears onscreen immediately after the audio has stopped).  This is done by assigning a condition to the NEXT button.  I also included an off-screen object that could be used as a similar timer.  I use the latter now and then when I need something off-screen, i.e hidden from the learner, to trigger something.

You can use other timings as the trigger too.
