Rotating an image into a different image.

Feb 21, 2019

Hello - newbie here!

I'm playing around with the idea of rotating and image and could use some advice. I have a vertical image with more text that I need to show at the beginning of a course, but would like to then rotate that image and land on a horizontal and simplified version of the image. I have a very rough first try at this up on Review so that I could ask the group for help. (These are also not the final images, but very similar to what the final will be.)

Is this possible to do seamlessly? Thanks!

Hi Carlye,

One thought I have is to consider breaking up that image into three parts, with the text top and bottom either as text boxes or graphics. In either case, though, make sure that the size and position of each is identical (that is, for instance, the bottom text will be at the bottom of its own rectangle. The objects would be stacked on top of each other.

Then you could rotate all three at the same time, and then fade out the text objects separately, leaving the graphic. I see that as your sample progresses, you have a larger version of the graphic, and this would not address that, but it would be a start in a smoother transition.
