Rounding in Numeric Entry recall
Apr 02, 2015
I'm creating a statistics course, and one of our interactions is a simple numeric entry, with an answer of either 0.029 or 0.029025 (in case a student rounds the number). Storyline seems happy to accept both these values as a correct answer for the interaction itself - that's not my issue.
My issue is that on the next slide, where I ask it to recall the NumericEntry variable (for whatever rounding the student happened to use), it rounds to 0.03! How do I ensure that no rounding occurs when the NumericEntry is recorded as a variable?

Hi StatEase,
I see the same behavior, as it looks like the numeric entry can only show past two decimal points and therefore is rounding up. I haven't seen documentation of this - but I'll try to see if I can confirm that this is what we'd expect.
Quick follow up - I do see that it's been reported to our team, in terms of the variable reference is rounded to the 100ths place. I'm going to tag this thread as a part of the existing report so that I can follow up here once there is additional information to share.
