I am getting rpc server is unavailable message when I use Translation -> Export to word option.

Please help.

Hi Varsha,

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry you ran into that error.

A few related cases tell me that this could be related to a bug in Storyline 360, where exporting to Word fails due to numerous slides.

I just encountered the error message "the RPC Server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA). Is there a fix for this. I am trying to export the Word transcript for translation on some fairly large Storyline 360 files.  I have completed the export several times in the past, and successfully used it on a smaller file today, so I know there's not an issue with my PC or software. Please let me know how to successfully complete the export process.

Exporting to Word can fail due to numerous slides/text-heavy content in Storyline 360

We're on it—and assuming the final testing phases go well—this issue will be resolved in the next update. We'll let you know as soon as that's ready!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this discussion! I'm so excited to share that we've released Storyline 360 (Build 3.49.24347.0) which includes Enhanced Word Translation!

This feature fixes the issue where the error, 'Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation' appeared when exporting a text-heavy Storyline 360 file to Word. 

To take advantage of this new feature and other fixes, make sure to update Storyline 360 in the Articulate 360 Desktop App. Here are the steps!
