Ruler Display Settings
Nov 14, 2017
I suspect this will sound like "Somebody Moved My Cheese", but I'm just migrating to Storyline 360. My rulers have always had "ZERO" in the center in both axis. I found it easy to center my various entries off that center points. In 360, my ruler now reads zero on the left and some number near 700 on the right horizontal axis and zero at the top and some number over 550 at the bottom. Is there any way to change that to the older format?

Great question, I've been wondering the same thing.
The only documentation I can find doesn't address this question, unfortunately.... https://community.articulate.com/series/74/articles/articulate-storyline-360-user-guide-how-to-set-grid-guide-ruler-preferences
I will say though, that the current layout does make sense. AND I automatically have guides in the center both vertically and horizontally.
Thanks Brian for sharing that link! There isn't a change to the ruler spacing or the numbers at which is starts, but we did release some new updates to how you can use those items and position them. Take a look at the videos shared here on our “What’s New” page specifically the section on object editing improvements.
Hi Ashley. I am confused! My ruler has different numbering in SL360 than in SL3. I miss having zero in the middle, and the number spread is too large to get specific. Any way to change it?
Hi Jill,
As Ashley mentioned above, we made some Object Editing Enhancements within Storyline 360. You can read all about them here.
The ruler is now in pixels vs inches for more precise placement.
Thanks, Leslie. The link you provided was helpful. I didn't see the Object Editing Enhancements via Ashley's link.
