Running modules straight from .SWF files
Apr 20, 2016
Hi,
I'm looking into the option of running modules straight from the .swf files. I have a Wordpress site with dozens of decision trees and things like that which are developed in Stoyline.
I'm trying to get away from iframes by launching the modules from the .swf. I know the .swf will still need the storyline_content folder, thats fine. I just don't want to launch from story.html or story_html5.html
My question is, will I lose any functionality by launching from .swf? Will it still support javascript triggers? I know a lot of code is in the html files so, I'm not sure if this is even possible, but wanted to ask here to get a general idea.
Thanks!

Hi, Ben -- Thanks for reaching out with your question! As I understand your question, I wanted to share that we only recommend using the story.html file to launch the course, and don't support the .swf version, as you may lose functionality and/or experience erratic behavior. As such, I would need to defer to your fellow community members to assist you further here.
OK, looks like it won't be a good option. Thanks for the info!
