I can't seem to pinpoint any reason this is might be happening and the video plays fine in all other major browsers, but video in HTML5 output does not play in Safari for Mac at all. The video either hangs on the first frame or does not show up at all. The timeline proceeds and audio file plays fine but video does not.
Has been tested on both Yosemite and El Capitan with the same result.
Are you uploading the content to it's intended environment?
If you view an Articulate Storyline course on your local hard drive (or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive), you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features to fail. To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. See this article for details.
