I have a problem with storyline that it does not let me save projects and do a lot of save in the name. Sometimes it is resolved that I do publish and then try to save but not always. The folder was previously synced to Google Drive and I took it to a local folder on my computer and still continue to have problems.
If the file was previously on a Network/shared drive such as Google, you could try importing it into a new file to resolve any of the odd behavior. Also, I'd look at following the steps here to ensure you prevent any future corruption issues with your Storyline files.
