Saving Progress?
Jan 02, 2015
Hello all,
"Can Moodle be used to save the users progress?". I've created a series of four mini-games that are all contained within the same storyline file. A few students told me that they could not complete the entire game in one sitting. Others may want to use multiple devices (i.e. their lab computer, their ipad, and their home computer) to complete the game. I'm wondering if variables from each mini-game could be passed to Moodle once they finish that particular section so that their scores will be saved. I am trying to avoid splitting my larger game up into four smaller ones as they are intricately connected.

You could use the built resume function. This would allow them to change machines.
If you want to pass the score to moodle the easy way is to pass it as part of question.
Hi Brian,
The resume behavior is described here, and the users will need to be logged into Moodle to allow the course to keep track of their progress and let them pick up where they left off when revisiting.
Thanks, that might be just the thing.
