To the left there is a column that contains the slides. Just beneath the slide there is a label for that slide, i.e. "1.4....". Is there a way to access that data?
I invite you to check out a couple of threads here and here that may be of assistance. Otherwise, hopefully someone in the community will be able to assist you.
However long it takes to write code to make the variable available as read only can't be as many hours as it takes hundreds of people to name or number slides. Numbering slides becomes a time consuming effort especially when a slide is added or deleted. Particularly so if the slide is at the beginning of a long slide presentation.

Hi Allen!
You can rename scenes and slides as you wish. Check out this tutorial for details.
I want to capture that data and display it in a text box.
Ah, gotcha.
