I've come across this variable a couple of times this morning but searching I cannot find any information - is this an actual *thing*, or is it a custom variable people are using? I can't being to imagine how you would populate it if it's not inbuilt - but if it is, I don't know where it comes from or why it's apparently undocumented! Anyone want a discussion on page numbering techniques?! :)

Hello Erin... you're correct, documentation is light. I'd love to see a comprehensive list of these added to the online documentation for Storyline.
You can find this variable and all the other built-in variables by clicking the variables button, then choosing "Built-In".
Here's just about the only thing useful I could find on these... https://community.articulate.com/series/articulate-storyline-360/articles/storyline-360-add-slide-numbers#insert
Aaah it's 360 - I'm using 3 - let me start up 360 and have a play. I've not used it as a replacement to date; someone in our organisation wanted to collaborate on a project so got us licences, but I've continued using 3 for our own developments. I don't know if a straight swap is feasible but that's a tempting feature!
hmmm, great differentiator... I was unaware that SL 3 didn't have the built-in variables, so good to know
Quite! Explains why I couldn't find anything haha!
