I have imported a quiz from Quizmaker into Storyline, and it seems to work really well except for one thing: visually impaired learners using JAWS can't get a result. The score field displays as "You scored %Results.ScorePoints% out of 14", and this is what JAWS reads to the learner. Is there anything I can add to the Alt Text box that will get this to translate into what the learner actually scored?
I discovered something that surprised me a few days ago, so I thought I'd update this in case it helps anyone else.
After my JAWS tester reported that JAWS was reading the variable itself rather than the score it was supposed to display, I went back into Storyline and unchecked the box that makes the text visible to accessibility tools. I simply thought that I'd avoid having the screenreader read something to the user that didn't make any sense. However, when I re-published the file, my JAWS tester reported that this time his score was correctly read to him.
I have no idea why this should happen, or how JAWS is picking up the score, but it seems to work!

Good Afternoon, Julie.
Unfortunately, this is a known issue, and it's something we're hoping to resolve in a future Storyline update.
Please let us know if you need anything else. Thanks!
Thanks, Justin, it's good to hear you are working on this. Hope you find a resolution soon!
Regards,
Julie
