Scoring accuracy
Jun 10, 2014
Hi all!
I have a huge (50-question) quiz set up with a manually-built timer. When the timer runs out, the user is taken to the scoring page. So, the point is not to get all the answers right (that's impossible). It's to answer as many questions correctly as you can.
I was wondering if there's any way to rig up an 'accuracy score'? This would be a percentage calculation of questions answered correctly / total answer attempts made (correct and incorrect).
The catch is, of course, that questions NOT attempted can't be counted.
Is there some kind of variable I can use to track incorrect answers only?

Ok, slight revision to my question. Let's say I have all the information I need to calculate accuracy (I do! Yay!)
Can I get Storyline to calculate a percentage from two variables for me?
Eg:
Variable X / Variable Y x 100.
you need to do it in a couple of triggers, I would set another variable Percentage
Add trigger to assign value of X to Percentange
Add trigger to diveide percentage by Y
Add trigger to multiply Percentage by 100
See attached a quick example with the trigger setup.
Thank you both! I think I've got it working now.
There's like a million triggers on each of these slides. This quiz is a MONSTER.
