Scoring Communication to LMS

Jul 10, 2017

Hi!!

We have a strange issue: We publish our courses in scorm 1.2 format. The interaction between the content and the LMS about the status is always correct, but not about the scores that are reported intermittlently.

I mean, the content communicates that the status has changed to passed or not passed for all the cases, and this info is recorded on the LMS. But this communication sometimes includes the scoring (50%,60%...) and sometimes not.

What are we missing?

Thanks!

Thanks Brian,

When we detected the issue we thought that it was something related to the  LMS because when the users passed the test some of them were perfectly registered (I mean, the status changed on the LMS) but some of them not.

Then we noticed that the failed users had recorded the status but not the scoring. Our LMS support team did several tests and concluded that the content reports the scoring  intermittlently, as the course/offering has defined a mastery score if there is no data the course doesnt go to transcript (even if the status is reported).

Regarding the LMS the solution has been easy: delete the mastery score, so if the status says "passed" the course goes to transcrip. But if we would need to report the specific scoring we can´t do it because the content report it "randomnly".
