SCORM 1.2 vs SCORM 2004

Hi all,

I'm having some issues with my course, and am thinking it might be how I'm publishing. When I publish in SCORM 1.2, there's a "Logout" button for the user to click when they're done with the module. When clicked, the module closes, and the user goes back to the course page (everything is fine).

When I publish in SCORM 2004, there's a "Logout" button AND a "Finished" button. When the user clicks the "Finished" button, there's no redirect. The module closes, and just a white screen appears. The LMS is not re-directed back to the course page.

Is anyone else having this problem, or a similar problem?

Brandon,

A lot is determined if your LMS is SCORM 2004 compliant and certified. If not, you may get wonky results. SCORM 2004 has a lot of problems and has not been updated since it's release. The added book of Sequencing and Navigation to that model has never really worked correctly.

As for SCORM, stay with version 1.2. It's stable enough for most elearning courses and I've not had any serious problems. Another option would be to test it published out as AICC.

This probably won't work but for my testing with Saba I had to edit the configuration.js file per this KB article for AP:  http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=ap9&id=tfupmfc57cpx

And change the exit behavior to "ALWAYS_CLOSE_TOP".
