SCORM 2.1
May 23, 2012
Hi Everyone,
I've just tried to run a basic storyline course (no quiz) in our custom built LMS and it always completes as 'Complete FDR' even though I have viewed each slide to pass the course.
I've published this as complete/incomplete as advised by the LMS tech support.
Am I missing something here? I'm still very new to Storyline...appreciate your help in advance

Angela,
I'm not sure I understand what "Complete FDR" stands for. I would assume this means the course pass requirement has been met and the status has been set to complete as expected. Can you provide more detail? If you republish using a new name and upload again to the LMS what happens if you leave the course after the first slide? What status is shown then?
Hi,
Complete FDR, means the course completed with Further Development Required, I failed it even though I navigated to each slide.
I tested this again and left the course after the first slide, the LMS calulated this correctly, status: In Progress.
Again I'm unsure why I can't get a course to successfully complete even through I visit each slide.
Thanks again
Angela,
You might need to get your LMS vendor involved. The Articulate published content is SCORM compliant.
I added a small quiz to the course and it completed successfully.
I suppose my question is, do we need to have a quiz in the module in order for it to calculate.
You could track by slides viewed instead of a quiz...
Angela,
As Peter stated, you can choose how the content is tracked when publishing. From the Publishing dialog and under the LMS Tab the Reporting and Tracking button allows you to choose. More on this option is outlined in the following link.

Yes, thanks for that.
I've tried both options and I've been able to pass the course which is fantastic.
My new problem is, I can't fail the course. The LMS calculates this as incomplete.
I'm trying to get some assistance from the LMS support team. We'll see what happens
Would it be possible to upload the file so someone can take a look at where I've gone wrong.
It really depends on what completion settings you used. Try passed/failed, completed/failed. It may be that this is the way your LMS translates failed/incomplete to display as incomplete
Thanks everyone, I tried changing the completion to Passed/Failed and it worked.
I'm a very happy person right now
