Scorm Cloud and Page Not Found
Aug 20, 2015
I use Storyline 2 for our development of courses. I have been asked to test the courses on an iPad in ScormCloud, the links are below. These links work fine from a PC/laptop, but when using an iPad our testers get an Ooopps Page Not Found error.
Help.

Hi Melissa,
Did you publish for Mobile Player or just HTML5? If you published for the Mobile player you'd need to have published for Tin Can API to be able to access the course on your iPad.
Also, I wanted to point out this really good article on how to run through testing at SCORM Cloud.
Hi Ashley,
I published for both, as seen in the image. I have used Scorm Cloud many times for testing, so I know how to upload it. I have also added the zipped files.
Hi Melissa,
Thanks for the image. I tested both the links, and the first one after I tested it in my PC it would no longer allow me to access that link on my iPad vs. the second one I was able to open it on my iPad and PC. On the iPad it directed to the Mobile player app and I received the "Cannot access content error" detailed here. It looks like you included the published output folders, and I'm unable to see your publish settings that way. Could you include one of the .story files so I could take a look and test publish that one?
I reloaded one of the courses with the TinCan API setting in Reporting, that link is here: https://cloud.scorm.com/sc/InvitationConfirmEmail?publicInvitationId=b000e79c-3b84-441d-85c8-8a4f7c4f02fe
I have uploaded one of the courses.
Hi Melissa,
That one opened for me in my iPad mini using iOS 8.4 as shown here:
Hi Ashley,
I don't do our iPad testing, so I can't get you screen capture right now.
The Main company LMS I use (we have about 8), is years behind and does not do mobile or TinCan API. When I edited my publishing settings for mobile devices and the TinCan API setting, I didn't save the file, so those settings did not save, but the first image is what I used for mobile publishing.
Your player is different than how it should look, see my second attachment.
Hi Melissa,
Within the mobile player app you're not able to use a customized player, so that's how it'll look. You can read more here about the differences in Flash, HTML5 and Mobile player output. If you'd prefer to not have that, you'll want to remove the option for Mobile player app and Tin Can API (unless the latter is what is required of your LMS, although if it's older I doubt it).
With that most recent link though, evyerthing seems to be working as expected. It may also help to review the information here on how to publish for mobile deployment.
Thank you Ashley
Ashley,
Can you try that link again? Me learner is now having issues with it and the course will not open.
Hi Melissa,
Sure - which link did you want me to take a look at again? The original one or the other one with Tin Can settings? What issues is your learner running into accessing the course? What type of device, browser and OS are they using to access the course?
We are not using the AMP in our company. So to test for mobile in Scorm Cloud would these settings work? Do I need to set it for TinCan API?
Hi Melissa,
That'll work - and then you'll want to utilize the mobile safari browser to access the course on your iPad. If you were using the mobile player app and an LMS, you would then want to publish for Tin Can API as detailed here.
